This is us

GETEC Platform Netherlands supports companies in industry and the real estate sector on their way to climate neutrality from its headquarters at the multi-client site GETEC PARK.EMMEN in Emmen (NL). Complementing the services of the multi-client site, GETEC Platform Netherlands offers a wide range of climate-friendly and smart energy solutions for the entire Benelux.

Empowering your business

The multi-client site GETEC PARK.EMMEN bundles experience and expertise of approximately 70 years of services from the former Emmtec into the ideal location for polymer production and recycling, among other things. You choose which utilities and services to purchase: it can be a basic package, a complete package and everything in between. We deliver customised solutions. How do we do this? Proactive, solution-oriented and always on time. And with extensive attention to your business and the market.

We provide stability and security and are the driving force behind your organisation. You focus on your core activities, and we do the rest.  You can always rely on us and get the solution that works for you. Professional, ambitious, curious, and proactive. And, of course, with a great deal of expertise.

INCREASE ENERGY EFFICIENCY

At GETEC, sustainability is a high priority. We strive to increase the energy efficiency of the GETEC PARK.EMMEN and reduce the CO2 footprint of the park. We do this by further increasing the current conversion efficiency. For example, by recovering residual heat and using it again at the park; we have been doing this for decades. Or on the fuel side by using green gas. In addition, we are a motivator and booster of the hydrogen economy. This involves converting electricity into hydrogen.

As far as we are concerned, hydrogen will be flowing through the pipes instead of gas in the near future.  There are now 21,000 solar panels with a capacity of 8.2 MW on our roofs. We are working out plans to fit even more unused roof areas with solar panels.

CRADLE OF THE POLYMER REVOLUTION

The plastics and polymers industry is on the move. CO2 reduction, digitalisation and an ever-faster changing value chain play a decisive role in strategic decisions and in the future development of companies. In addition to efficiency, sustainability is of great importance. This requires partners who can provide the full range of high-level support services efficiently and economically.

GETEC PARK.EMMEN, the largest industrial production area in the northern Netherlands, has extensive and comprehensive facilities. Various multinationals, such as DSM, Teijin, Freudenberg and BASF, are running their innovative production lines at the park.

The specialisation in the production and recycling of plastics and the vision on high-quality applications of (bio) polymers make this location unique.

LOCATION AND AVAILABLE LOTS

The extremely favourable location with direct access to the (motor) road network and the railway offers the multi-client site in Emmen an optimal environment for internationally active companies involved in innovation and production in the fields of chemistry, food and (heavy) manufacturing.

GETEC PARK.EMMEN also offers approximately 25 hectares of available building land with an ideal logistic location. There are various lots available immediately.

OUR DRIVERS FOR
SUSTAINABLE AND EFFICIENT ENERGY

Sustainable, well-run companies with good risk management are more valuable - to the environment, to society and also as a company. Improving the ESG criteria is therefore an essential part of our business strategy.

We are shapers of the energy transition and strive for resource efficiency: sustainable, efficient and digitalised energy and infrastructure solutions, as well as the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions for our customers are our driving forces.

GETEC PARK.EMMEN is certified according to ISO 9001 and 14001.
